The annual Peel Pursuit handicap race took place last week. Thank you to our club president Doug for handing out the trophies . Our winner for the junior run was Emily. A fantastic set of races took place at the British Mixed Sprint Relays and Individual Champs over the weekend. On Saturday evening, we fielded 5 teams in the relays (with some POTOC guests too) at Birmingham Uni. Great fun in a complex campus with lots of levels to keep you thinking. The annual Showground Relays took place in the sunshine again this year. A slightly adjusted course, so times were a little over 2023, but 3 teams of Chasers ran, to continue our unbroken record of competing in all races since the inaugural relays in 1988 (at Shugborough). Yorkshire was host to the British Middle Distance Champs on Danefield (Otley) and the Northern Champs (Kilnsey) over the weekend. Danefield was steep and tricky with huge boulders, but an excellent technical area for a championships. 13 Chasers competed, with some great runs.
