The annual Showground Relays (ex Shugborough) took place at Stafford Showground tonight. We had 2 teams, running the 4 x 2mile relay on a sunny and hot evening. The annual Peel Pursuit race was held on Brocton Coppice tonight, followed by a BBQ. Fastest runner on the night was Stuart Duckworth, who just pipped Jonah. Christine Collins retained her handicap trophy. Thanks to Jonathan for organising, and for hosting the BBQ afterwards.
Springtime in Shropshire is a biennial 3-day competition run across the 2nd May Bank Holiday. Over the Easter weekend, over 20 Chasers ventured north to the Lake District for the annual Jan Kjellstrom festival of orienteering. 4 days of orienteering consisting of a sprint race, middle race, long race and relay.
