Today, the Olympic Flame came through Tamworth and a day-long festival was organised to celebrate it’s visit. Chasers had a stand to show people what we do. The main activity of the day was the maze, which proved really popular – around 200 competitors (yes, really!) had a go, so we were kept busy all day. Just after the only shower of the day, we did a 20 minute demo of ‘O’ in the arena, which was great fun – one round for the juniors, one seniors. HUGE thanks go to Allan Williams and Tracy Craig who did a lot of organisation before the day, assisted on the day by Sheena, Dougie, Heather, Holly, Sue L, Ian T, Andy, Alison and Marlene, & to Cath who produced the special map.
We need more volunteers next time please!
