A most enjoyable evening was had by all (or it was by me at least and I didnt hear anyone not enjoying themselves) at Birches Valley for the club micro sprint championships (?!). This consisted of a small area mapped to very high level of detail and lots of controls close together, changes of direction and quick thinking.
The real race of the day was for the qualification which was won in a magnificent time by Kelvin Dawson

Times for this decided the make up of the A, B and C finals in an adjacent area of wood with even more controls out to confuse the unwary. Which is exactly what happened to Kelvin; a slight mispunch causing him to have to go back one control and with such a short fast course it meant that his much deserved win instead went to Iain Stamp…… 🙂
