11 Chasers made the journey up to Scotland for the JK this Easter. Despite an ominous weather forecast, we got away with it and enjoyed a tough but enjoyable long weekend. The best results in the individual races came from Bob Dredge – 5th of 79 in the M60 class at the Livingston Sprint, follwed by an excellent 6th of 83 in M60L at Dunalistair. None of us excelled on Craig a Barns but we all survived…! The relays on Newtyle Hill saw 3 Chasers teams running well: Andy, Ray and John were 16th of 72 in Vet Men 165+ with Ray having a particularly good run with an 8th place on his leg. The other two teams ran in the Mixed Ad Hoc class: Ian, Alison and Matt were 25th, while Sue, Judith and Christine were 47th – out of 77 teams. The start performers were Ian (8th) and Matt (a fantastic 4th).
Next year’s JK is in the Chilterns, so put it in your diaries for next Easter.
