Pastiche was the venue for the 2013 Chaser dinner, which lived up to expectations.
Special guests were GB squad member David Scorah & his fiance and fellow orienteer Rose Hodgkinson. Dave gave an interesting and interactive talk about Project 2015 and the World University Championships 2012, including his preparation for running in 30+ degrees in the Spanish mountains. We wish him the best of luck with his orienteering over the next few years.
Dinner was followed by the senior prizegiving, with trophies for all the club champions, winter score league winners and domination series winners. Andrew Soltysik was the first Chaser to finish the Trig Point Race. Performances of the year went to Hazel Waters (Compass Sport Cup final result) and Bob Dredge (World Masters Sprint final result), Most Improved Orienteers were Claire Stamp and Stuart Walton, Course Planner of 2012 was Christine Collins for her Hednesford Camp courses, and Club Contribution of 2012 was awarded to Tracy Craig, for all her behind-the-scenes work, as well as her slick organisation of the Compass Sport Cup qualifying event.
