“Pats on the back” this week are quite numerous as there has been three events this week.
First there was the Army event on Wednesday where I won the Blue course closely followed by Andy Yeates in 4th place. On the Green Christine Collins came a good 5th.
The Second event took place yesterday at Hanging Hill where Alison Yeates came 4th on the Short Green, Judith Hughes came 14th on the Green. On the popular Blue Ian Hughes came 4th, closely followed in 5th by me, Andy Yeates came next in 6th while Kristian Roberts also came in the top 10 in 10th place. On the Brown Andy McNally finished 7th.
Today, at a very busy Calke Abbey, where weddings, St Georges Day parades and much more was going on in icy conditions Claire Bushnell came 5th on the Short Green closely followed by Mike Smith in 14th and Jim Knight in 15th. On the Green Judith Hughes came in 3rd while on the Blue James Bennett finised 6th, Andy Yeates 7th, Catherine Bushnell 10th and second Lady, Roger Richards 11th and I finished in 17th place. On the Light Green course Charlotte Cairrn–Smith finised in 12th place.
Events next weekend are the British Long Distance Championships on Saturday and The British Relay Championships on Sunday. Entries have now closed. Relay Teams can be found at SI entries or my next email.
Training this Tuesday is the First of the Domination League races. It takes place at Seven Springs from 6.45pm bring your SI card. Next Tuesday there will be no training only a run from Chase Road Corner at 7pm.
