Next years British Championships is being held up in Northumberland over the weekend of 30th May – 1st June (website here). This is the end of the school half term week, and not over either bank holiday weekend – for those booking kennels, you have been warned!!!
To encourage people to go, and following the success of hiring out the Holmbury YHA for this years BOC, we have hired 2 lodges at Hawkhirst Scout Activity Centre on the banks of Kielder Water, which is in an ideal location for both days.
One of the lodges sleeps 38, and will be aimed at families, juniors and Kelvin, the other sleeps 12, and is reserved for “grown ups” (we had to book the 2 lodges to enable us to be self catering and affordable for families).
Cost depends on numbers, but if we fill the lodges, it will be £10 per person per night, plus food.
