“Pats on the back” this week go to Andy Yeates for his 8th on the Blue at Spring Cottage; to Kristian Roberts, on his comeback , taking 9th position on the Green; while on the Short Green course Chris Boycott came 9th while Mike Smith came in 13th. June Cairn-Smith came in 20th on the Orange while Oscar Barnby came 2nd closely followed by brother Euan on the White Course. For thoe who were not at the event you missed a lot of water and mud but at least it was nice and sunny.
The only event next week is a Chasers event at Mansty Wood just East of Cannock, full details on WCH and WMOA web sites. It is a lovely area with few brambles (only by the start) and little in the way of brashings or impediments to straight line running. Oh, and great courses.
Talking of great courses: Tuesday training this week is at Badgerslade. Parking is the car park between Bednell Belt Car Park and Springslade Lodge. First start 6.45 or earlier if I am ready. Could all runners especially JUNIORS bring a whistle with them for safety reasons.
The following week training is from Beaudesert Car Park, running on Rawnsley.
Finally, you have until midnight tonight to enter the British Championships at Brown Clee on April 30th.
