Em Garside was the planner of some excellent courses on the vague and deceptively tricky Pelsall Common, & Sue Williams & her team of helpers had a strong wind to put up with, as well as the odd heavy shower. Many thanks to Rob Vickers (HOC) for his attention to detail helping the courses provide a fair challenge to all.
In the Yvette Baker qualifier, the Chasers juniors did themselves proud. Several of them ran up, but all persevered and there were some good results. Unfortunately, HOC were unable to field a full team, and OD will contest the LEI qualifier later in the month, so there wasn’t strong competition for the Chasers team, who made it through to the final, which will be held near Grantham in early July.
**Lost Property Plea** If anyone has found a multi-coloured buff which is not their own, can they please contact Sue Williams (secretary@walton-chasers.co.uk) as soon as possible. It was in one of the tents during a “gust of wind” crisis and may have been blown onto someone else’s coat / bag?? The owner would appreciate its safe return. Thanks.
