There’s a fine line between bravery and insanity and on a day when most sane people would be sat at home wrapped up warm contemplating a nice roast lunch and staring at the teaming down rain 19 chasers braved the cold, rain and incredibly slippy mud.
Congratulations go to Adam Mardling for winning the Orange and to Chris Boycott in a triumphant return winning the short green.
Holly Craig finished third on the Orange and was followed in 6th by Holly Stodgell.
On the short Green there was a top ten finish for Gemma Cairns-Smith and top 21 finish (!) for Sue Lynch.
Green saw three top ten finishers with Claire Bushnell leading the way from Ian Turner and Richard Rogers. Dougie Craig, Ricardo and Alison Yeates all finished in the top 20 and Julie Nokes top 40.
On the Blue course Ray Collins showed fantastic recovery from the British Nights the evening before to finish 5th. Andy Yeates wasnt far behind in 10th and was very closely followed by newly crowned M35S British Night Champion Kelvin who slipped his way round to 12th just pipping Matt Mardling and Mark Garside in 13th and 14th respectively.
Last but certainly not least an excellent top 10 (and first woman) finish on Brown went to Cath Williams.
Bring on the Wrekin on Sunday 🙂
