Springtime in Shropshire is a biennial 3-day competition run across the 2nd May Bank Holiday. This year, we had an Urban Race in Telford, followed by a Long Race on Brampton Bryan (incorporating the Midland Champs), and a Middle Race on Corndon. The sun shone and some great courses were enjoyed in very varied terrain, covering urban, hilly parkland, and open moorland. Top 5 performances of the weekend were Day 1 – Iain 3rd Men’s Vet, Day 2 – Stodge 3rd M50L, Carol 3rd W60L and Hazel 1st W70L, and Day 3 – Iain 5th M40 and Stodge 4th M50. We have two Midland Champions this year, with Carol Dredge winning the W60 and Hazel Waters the W70 – great results!
