Adventure starts here – get out and orienteer!

New activities for young people, their families and anyone wishing to take up the sport in a weekly session run by Walton Chasers Orienteering Club in Tamworth.

Each outing is a mini adventure as you locate the checkpoints shown on your map against the clock. You can walk, jog or run and learn map reading as you go, either working as a team or having a bit of friendly competition. You will take part in fun games and challenges to help you to find your way and get fitter without even realising it.

When?

Mondays 6:30-8pm

Where?
Wilnecote School, Tinkers Green Lane, Tamworth B77 5LF

Who?
Anyone can join in the fun, whatever your level of fitness or map reading ability. Don’t be shy!

What?
You could be exploring a maze in the gym, competing against your friends and family in a mental and physical challenge around the school or deciphering map symbols while you give your legs a rest.

What do I need?
Just turn up with your trainers and a sense of adventure for a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities and competitions which will get both your mind and body working.

NB: Please note that sadly Sport England (who fund this session) have withdrawn this support and the sessions will cease after 1st October.  We hope to re-start when we can identify a new source of funding.
