WCH Orienteering and COVID-19

Following the British Orienteering statement yesterday, we are sad to say that all orienteering activities, including training events and coaching is now suspended.  We hope to get back out in the forest as soon as we can but will follow the official advice.  See below for the BOF statement:

Suspension of all orienteering activities
It is with great sadness that we are now in a position where all orienteering activities in the UK have to be suspended with immediate effect.
We are aware that the Coronavirus outbreak is a very fluid and rapidly changing situation. We will, therefore, continue to follow advice from Public Health England, World Health Organisation and both local and national governments on this matter and will keep the orienteering family updated as appropriate.
We know how great the sport is at supporting each other and we ask that you continue to pull together (albeit virtually) during this difficult time. We will do our best to get you back in the forests as soon as it is safe to do so.
UPDATE 5th June – as the lockdown eases, and in accordance to BOF guidance, we are now looking at options to start individual runs as step 1 in our return.  As soon as this is setup, we’ll post details here and on our Facebook page.
