Controllers Comments.

It was sunny with a blue sky when I set out at 6.45 to check controls.  What a change in the weather! Well done to you all for coming along and dealing with the courses and the foul weather.  It was a runners course for the 2 longer courses.  I apologise for the map shortage, but it is difficult for clubs to judge how many maps to print and it was a larger than usual entry at a West Midlands League Event.  It was so cold at the start, that we put people in the box as soon as there was a space on their course, so blue and green had to wait in a queue, as there were so many entries.  Thank you to people for heeding the whistle check, for the most part, as it is a West Midlands rule at all events.  Jon Poole tried his best to allow for all abilities, on an area which is never far off the path.  Also, it is a very busy public area, on a sunny Sunday in particular.  It can be inundated with dog walkers, mountain bikers and families.  Tracey Craig, the organiser did a sterling job, especially having to deal with the BOF mistake of advertising the event as a regional one!  This was not a WCH fault!

Good luck to you all in future; we will probably meet at other events.
