For techies out there who would like to know how we did it.
Broadband connection from Totalweb Solutions – Broadband BUSINESS LITE – 50:1 with a fixed IP Address.
Netgear DG834 router acting as DHCP server and ADSL Modem
Cat 5 connection using 25metre cable to roof mounted Buffalow Airstation G54 (see photo) with external antennae – 16 db Yagi on workmate.
300m hop
WDS connection to Second Buffalow Airstation with homemade Omni Antennae. This was the green tent next to the carpark. Powered from car battery and inverter.
200m hop
WDS connection to Apple Airport running latest firmware, using internal Antennae.
Cat 5 final connection into 12 port 10/100 netgear hub.
Netgear Router had port 1121 open and forwarded to 1121 on my laptop with a fixed IP address.
Used Windows Media Encoder to publish stream of video and sound to port 1121.
