Chasers at Lakes 5-day

For the last week, a dozen or so Chasers have been competing in the Lakes 5-day event.  We’ve had a whole mix of weather, from monsoon-like rain to blazing sunshine.  We’ve run on high open fell (Silver Howe and Angel Tarn Pikes), low lying fell (Askham), dense forestry plantation (Whinlatter)and steep intricate woodland (Dale Park, Graythwaite). On the overall competition (best 4 days), the star of the week was Dan Findlay-Robinson, who won the M35S class, winning 2 days and coming 3rd on 2 days.  Andy Yeates came an excellent 4th overall in the M55S class.  The other individual star performance was Bob Dredge, who won day 2 high on Angle Tarn.  The rest of us had mixed fortunes!
