Bob Dredge wins!

The league is at:

WCH at the West Midland Relays

Chasers took 6 teams to the West Midlands Relays today, held on Hartlebury Common, near Stourport-on-Severn in wonderful autumn weather.  Congratulations to the winning Men’s Open team of Dan Findlay-Robinson, Tom O’Boyle and Alistair Ross – excellent result!

WCH at the Compass Sport Trophy Final

Last weekend, 26 Chasers made the trip down to Yelverton, near Plymouth for the Compass Sport Trophy Final.  A minibus and multiple car loads made the journey through storm Brian, and we were rewarded with a near dry, if windy day.  There were some excellent performances, with counters shown below (top 13 scores to count).  Everyone played their part and it was a great team effort.  We came a creditable 5th place in our first attempt at the trophy.  Next year, it’s on home soil, so we’re expecting great things!

British Sprint Champs success for Chasers

Last weekend, Chasers were well represented at the British Sprint and British Middle Champs weekend.  Saturday was the Sprint race in Campbell Park in Milton Keynes followed on Sunday by the Middle race in Wendover Woods.  In the sprints, lots of Chasers ran well in the morning qualifiers to get into the ‘A’ finals which followed in the afternoon. We had 2 fantastic performances in the finals, with Bob Dredge 1st and Jonathan Howell 3rd on the M65 class (Jon just 3 seconds off 2nd place).  Well done both!
