Well done to all the Chasers juniors who ran on The Ercall in this years Yvette Baker qualifying round, and despite being narrowly beaten by last years winners, have made it through to the final.
The courses were tough, the area brutal, and there were lots of falls, a few injuries and a few tears on the finish line, but smiles all round when the final results were confirmed.
Our counting runners were:
Heather Craig (99 points)
Matt Hartland (100 points)
Gemma Cairns-Smith (98 points)
Joe Holland (99 points)
Holly Craig (99 points)
Ethan Evans (99 points)
Henry Webb (98 points)
Megan Colclough (100 points)
Amy Mitchell (99 points)
But almost 30 Chasers juniors turned out altogether for the club and many ended up in The Dragons Den Chinese restaurant for a well-deserved all-you-can-eat buffet!
Full results can be found here while results from the associated open event can be found here.
The final is on Sunday 5th July, with details to follow, but put the weekend in your diary, it’s likely to be an overnight trip as the event is not far from Brighton!
The clocks have changed, summer’s coming and that can only mean one thing… Tuesday training is moving outside!
For the first 2 weeks we’ll make the most of having access to the pool at Walton High, with sprint training on April 1st and relay training on April 8th at Walton High starting at 7pm (particularly useful if you will be running at JK). The more people who join us, the more fun and more relevant the training will be. The pool will be available from soon after 8 until 8.45pm.
The list of sessions over the rest of the summer season will soon be circulated (along with the usual request to please volunteer to take on a night!).
