Swedish O Ringen:
17 chasers have just competed in the world’s largest orienteering festival The Swedish O Ringen. Held from the 21st – 26th July 2002 in some of Sweden’s toughest and most complex terrain, the event attracted 14,000 competitors.
All the seniors gained huge experience from competing at this world class level, however it was our juniors that really performed well, with our best runner being Catherine Bushnell who came 4th on W11

Walton Chasers launches new software for Electronic punching:
Walton Chasers in conjunction with Alan Hartley ( an orienteer and database consultant) of Hartley IT services have produced a new database solution for use with Sportident electronic punching.
The new software, which will be launched at the Colour Coded event on June 30th, enables much faster entry on the day, using the BOF database and automatic analysis in order to determine which course has been run.
It is the intention that the software becomes available to all clubs free of charge. More details will be available after the trial event in June.
